Creating Your Child's Hero Adventure

Transforming your child into the hero of their own story is a simple, collaborative process. Here is what to expect from start to finish:

Place Your Order: Choose your base package to kick off the adventure.
Upload Reference Photos: You’ll upload photos of your child for our team and AI technology to use as visual references.
Pro-Tip for Best Results: Upload clear, high-quality, well-lit photos. Final artwork quality depends heavily on the quality of the images you provide!

Tell Us Their Story: After purchasing, you will receive a custom questionnaire about your child’s personality, hobbies, favorite colors, dreams, and goals.
Custom Concept Design: Our creative team uses your answers as inspiration to write a personalized story and build a visual concept unique to your child.

Check the Layout: Before anything goes to print, you will receive a digital proof to review the story and design direction.
Revisions Included: Your order includes up to two free revisions during this stage.
Note: Major redesigns or additional revisions beyond the first two may incur an extra design fee.

Choose Your Format: Every package comes with a custom softcover book. You can upgrade to a Hardcover Edition for $15.
Add Extra Magic: Choose optional upgrades like custom T-shirts, sweatshirts, posters, bags, or an Animated Digital Story ($50) featuring QR codes for interactive sharing.
Approve for Print: Once you sign off, your book officially goes into production!

Standard Production: ~2 weeks after your final proof approval.
Standard Shipping: 3–5 business days once shipped.
Rush Orders: Available for an additional $50 fee to speed up the process.
Hands-Off Option: Want our team to handle the entire design and story-building process with minimal involvement from you? Add Full-Service Creative Assistance for $50.

Want to share your child’s book with the world or raise money? You can optionally feature their book on the My Hero Books website for online sales!

Physical Book Sales: 70% to the Family / 30% to My Hero Books on qualifying physical books sold through the My Hero Books platform. Personal print orders placed by the family are purchased separately at the current My Hero Books printing price and are not subject to the 70/30 sales split.
Hands-Off Option: Deposited directly into your provided account.
Digital Sales: 50% to the Family / 50% to My Hero Books on qualifying digital sales through the My Hero Books platform.

Age Range: Perfect for ages 3–12, but customizable for all ages and milestones!
Ownership & Rights: My Hero Books retains ownership of all layouts, templates, and designs. Families receive personal usage rights (books cannot be commercially reproduced or resold outside of our platform without written permission).
Portfolio Use: Unless you request otherwise, we may showcase completed books or previews on our website and social media for marketing.
Refund Policy: Due to the 100% custom nature of these products, all sales are final once the design process has officially started.
Variations & Shipping: Printed colors may vary slightly from digital screens. My Hero Books is not responsible for shipping carrier delays or weather disruptions once shipped.
