My Hero Books Digital Library & Young Hero Program
My Hero Books Digital Library & Young Hero Program
At My Hero Books, we believe every child deserves an opportunity to create, dream, build confidence, and see their ideas come to life.
Through the My Hero Books Young Hero Program, eligible children may have their completed books featured in the My Hero Books Digital Library and may have opportunities to earn revenue from qualifying sales of their books.
Our goal is to give children an exciting publishing experience while introducing them to reading, creativity, storytelling, entrepreneurship, and the pride that comes from completing something of their own.
In addition to printed books, approved Young Heroes may have their books featured in the My Hero Books Digital Library.
The Digital Library allows readers, supporters, family members, schools, and communities to discover and access approved books through the My Hero Books platform while helping support our Young Heroes.
Available digital formats may include:
-
E-Books
-
Digital Reading Editions
-
Audiobooks
-
Streaming Audiobook Experiences
-
Interactive Digital Reading Experiences
-
Eligible Future Digital Products and Experiences Offered by My Hero Books
Participation in the Digital Library is optional and subject to approval by My Hero Books and authorization from the child's parent or legal guardian.
Digital Proof Approval Process
Before a Young Hero's book is sent to final production or publication, the family will receive a digital proof copy for review and approval.
The digital proof gives the family an opportunity to review:
-
Story Content
-
Artwork and Illustrations
-
Names and Spelling
-
Page Layout
-
Book Information
-
Overall Book Accuracy
Digital proof copies may contain watermarks, approval markings, order information, or other identifying features.
Proof copies are provided for review and approval purposes only and are not intended for resale, redistribution, reproduction, or public distribution.
Final production will begin after the required approval has been received.

Eligible Future Digital Formats Offered Through My Hero Books

Physical / Hard-Copy Book Sales
Approved Young Heroes may also have the opportunity to offer physical copies of their books for sale through My Hero Books, participating book fairs, schools, daycares, events, the My Hero Books website, or other approved sales channels.
For qualifying physical book sales:
Young Hero receives: 70% of qualifying net physical book sales revenue
My Hero Books receives: 30% of qualifying net physical book sales revenue
Qualifying net physical book sales revenue means the amount remaining from an eligible physical book sale after applicable expenses associated with that sale have been deducted.
These expenses may include:
-
Book Printing and Production Costs
-
Sales Taxes
-
Refunds and Returns
-
Chargebacks
-
Payment-Processing Fees
-
Shipping or Fulfillment Costs Paid by My Hero Books
-
Participating School or Daycare Commissions
-
Retailer or Event Commissions
-
Other Direct Costs Associated With Completing the Sale
This structure helps ensure that Young Heroes can benefit from successful book sales while allowing My Hero Books to continue printing, distributing, supporting, and promoting their books.
Payments for Young Heroes
Because participants may be minors, payments earned through the Young Hero Program will be issued to the child's parent, legal guardian, or another legally permitted account or designated recipient as required.
Parents or legal guardians are responsible for providing accurate payment and account information when required.
My Hero Books may establish reasonable payment schedules, minimum payout amounts, and verification procedures for revenue-sharing payments.
Returns, Refunds & Canceled Sales
Revenue sharing applies only to completed and qualifying sales.
Revenue will not be owed on transactions that are:
-
Canceled
-
Refunded
-
Returned
-
Reversed
-
Fraudulent
-
Subject to a Chargeback
-
Otherwise Not Successfully Collected
If revenue has already been credited or paid for a transaction that is later refunded, returned, or reversed, the corresponding amount may be deducted from future revenue-sharing payments where permitted.
Third-Party Distribution Opportunities
As My Hero Books grows, we may seek opportunities to make selected books available through additional retailers, libraries, schools, educational organizations, digital platforms, or other distribution partners.
Third-party companies may charge their own commissions, distribution fees, printing costs, or platform fees.
Because of this, revenue generated through third-party channels may not follow the same 50/50 digital or 70/30 physical revenue-sharing structure used for qualifying sales directly through My Hero Books.
When additional authorization is required, the applicable opportunity and revenue arrangement will be presented to the parent or legal guardian before participation.
Digital Library Removal
Parents or legal guardians may request that an eligible Young Hero's book be removed from future availability in the My Hero Books Digital Library, subject to the applicable Young Hero Program agreement and any existing orders, licenses, contractual obligations, or third-party distribution commitments.
Removal from future sale or availability does not necessarily remove copies that were previously purchased, downloaded, distributed, licensed, or otherwise lawfully provided before the removal request became effective.
My Hero Books may also remove or suspend a book from the Digital Library when necessary for legal, safety, technical, quality, policy, or program-related reasons.
Marketing & Promotional Opportunities
Books participating in the Young Hero Program may be considered for promotional opportunities through My Hero Books.
These opportunities may include book fairs, website features, promotional displays, school or daycare events, book signings, reading events, social media promotion, or other age-appropriate opportunities.
Participation in promotional activities involving a child's name, image, voice, appearance, or other personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable parent or legal guardian permissions.
Not every participating book or Young Hero is guaranteed to receive the same promotional opportunities.
Why We Use This Model
Our goal is to create meaningful opportunities for children while building a sustainable publishing platform that encourages literacy, creativity, entrepreneurship, imagination, and confidence.
The Young Hero Program lets families join the journey as My Hero Books continues investing in printing, technology, platform development, customer support, distribution, promotion, book fairs, and future opportunities for young creators.
We want children to experience more than simply receiving a book.
We want them to experience what it feels like to create something, see it published, share it with others, and be proud of what they accomplished.
Together, we help children:
Read. Dream. Create. Become the Hero.
Every purchase helps support a Young Hero's journey.
