Welcome to My Hero Books — where imagination, literacy, and confidence come together to create something truly magical.

My Hero Books was created with one powerful mission in mind: to inspire children to fall back in love with reading by seeing themselves become the hero of the story.

Founded by Lonnie Neal, My Hero Books was built from a vision to help guide young children toward creativity, imagination, and self-belief at an early age. Growing up understanding both the challenges and distractions facing today’s youth, Lonnie recognized the importance of getting children excited about books again — especially in a world dominated by cell phones, social media, and short attention spans.

At My Hero Books, we believe literacy matters. We believe children who continue reading, learning, and growing their vocabulary build stronger confidence, communication skills, creativity, and future opportunities. One of the best ways to encourage children to read is by helping them see themselves inside the story. When children become the hero, reading becomes personal, exciting, emotional, and unforgettable.

That’s why we create personalized hero books using your child’s photos, personality, imagination, and dreams to build magical adventures they can truly connect with. But My Hero Books is about more than storytelling.

One of our long-term goals is to help children, schools, teams, churches, nonprofits, and youth organizations use books as a positive fundraising tool. Instead of traditional fundraisers selling popcorn, candy, or temporary products, children can proudly sell books that inspire literacy, creativity, and confidence while raising money for their future, schools, sports, programs, and community projects.
